well i'm feeling kinda funny
and pretty low on money
but i know that i'm having a good time
right now this kitchen is filled with smoke
and the smell of bleach and hair dye
and it's 2 am in a perkins parking lot
car filled with some hooligan have nots
sneaking my friends out of their houses
having bonfires, being stupid
like taking selfies with your ass in my face
well im asleep and while you're half awake
and double taco bell run kind of nights
with the buds make me feel alright
yea my friends make me feel alive
and you guys have helped me work on myself
more than i could ever ask for
and right now is the time of the weekend
where everybody is walking out the door
and i'll miss you guys til the next weekend rolls up
and i could never thank you guys enough
no i could never thank my friends enough
and i don't need pills to fall asleep
cause my friends give me all i need
it's been awhile since i felt alone
cause only love is what my friends have shown
and these are the times i never wanna forget
the memories we've shared, the places we've been
you got me out of the slumps i'm feeling fixed
and i've loved every moment of it
think of all the places we'll go
you're the best people i know
i'm proud of the person i'm turning out to be
exactly how grandfather raised me
and i guess i quit being upset
and it's all thanks to my best friends
you're my best friends
